Dave Harner

Dave Harner along with Jack Johnson and the rest of the Swea City Betterment Club have been instrumental in the development of pedal pulls in Iowa. Dave became involved with pedal pull in the early 1980's and was involved with the creation of the Iowa State Pedal Pull Association in 1990. Dave is currently the President of the Iowa State Pedal Pull Association and has watched the sport grow from only 12 sanctioned pulls in their first year to over 180 sanctioned pulls in 2010. In the same time period the number of competitors at state sanctioned pulls has grown from around 120 to over 14000 kids in 2010. Dave is also on the National Pedal Pull board and does all of the announcing for the Iowa State Pedal Pull Championship and the National Pedal Pull.

Dave Harner is hereby inducted into the Iowa Pedal Pull Hall of Fame this September 11th, 2010
